Be open to grow
What is on your mind? What do you spend your day thinking about? the days which become years and the years which become life, what are you thinking about? If you could see a pile of all the thoughts you’ve ever had, they were categorized and put on display, where do you think you would have the most stock? How many lazy thoughts have you dwelt on, which led to lazy actions, which leads to lazy beliefs and then through this and by this process, you now have a byproduct of a poor work ethic?
I have been really conscious of my mentality recently and I am thankful to God. I thank God I have been reading books which make me think deeply, this is the only thing I ask for from a book. I want to be productive in life, so I aim to surround myself with productive people, with productive things and then form/develop productive beliefs. I learned long ago, wanting something isn’t enough, doing something about it is enough. If you don’t know how to do something, learn how to and then learn how to be consistent. I like to read the Bible and like anything you do, you can become complacent. Verses you read again may seem boring and may make you think there is nothing new to learn. I also know however there is new things which can be learned all the time from things you may have done previously, going over things is how you learn consistency. I tell myself to remain consistent and to remain open to learning new things. Just like the Bible, I read books and come across things I have read before or heard before. I do not tell myself noting new can be learned. I ask God to show me new things I missed before and develop my thinking. Adding to this point about going over things, reaffirmation is also learning. If someone is painting a wall, they go over the wall several times and provide several coat layers.

Build your own inheritance
I was reading about inheritance recently and saw a character of someone, who really desired to receive an inheritance. This was to the point that he was really upset to find there was no special inheritance for him. What is an inheritance to you? Is it the main goal in your life, is it something you partially think about or is it something you don’t really pay much attention? The fact is, we should all try to do our best, despite what is going on around us. If I was told I had an inheritance of $1,000,000 waiting for me, I would still strive to be the best I can be, and if that made me a millionaire then good on me. If my best didn’t make me a millionaire but took me close, I would be glad in the assurance that I gave my best.
Like this person I read about, they later got over the situation and went on to be great. One person could have easily decided that their life was therefore over, another person will get up, rising from the situation they find themselves in. Build your inheritance from today and look to add to it everyday.
Dust off the dirt
The way to success is simple. It takes hard work and determination, it takes experience and it takes long-suffering. Being able to look adversity in the face and say I defeated you and I am still alive. This is what separates losers from winners. A loser will overreact in a situation, while a winner knows exactly what is going on and keeps moving forward. We live in a world where people and opportunity is unforgiving. We have to take what we want by force and this does not mean breaking the law.
Jesus described the Kingdom of God as something which should be fought for, something which should be taken by force. If you are not willing to fight for what is yours, there is no point. Give your all, and all means life included. Go to death for the cause as it means you really believe it. Let us take people who perceive themselves to be martyrs for a cause and take others lives, Although the action may be wrong, they are doing what they believe in their hearts to be right in most cases.
I don’t condone violence on others illegitimately, I am one who always tries to strive for perfection. Set your sights on the best and expect nothing less. Be a person who has a vision and then start to live your vision. Taste it, feel it, grab onto it and it will come unto you. This blog is nearly two years in the making and I remember before I even wrote one blog post, I could see something. When I got there, I looked even further and continue to do so. A vision is real because you have experience it.

Invest means Invest
The problem I have seen in my life previously and seen in many others is the concept of investment. Some people really misunderstand what is going on and their lives show. There are three types of people who look at investment. The investor, those who think they invest and the non-investor. All hold positions and not all really know it. Firstly I can say personally, I went from non-investor, to thinking I was an investor and then finally made it into the investor category and am currently working on it.
Let me tell you about my journey…
When I was younger I used to believe the way to get rich and be successful was to save money all the time. I became a really good saver. I then became a hoarder of average level. Anything I would save, I would not desire to let it go until something I considered important came along. From a young age I started to realise that whenever I would save for periods, the money would eventually go down and quickly when I started spending it. This was not pleasing so I decided to stop spending money for even longer periods. Same thing happened it just took longer. What was happening to me? I was saving but not adding anything consistent to it, so when I spent, there was nothing covering my expenses. My funds could only go one way.
In 2012 most bank accounts don’t pay you interest. Your money lives in an account pretty much dormant until you start spending it. Same old thing which I was doing years ago is still happening to many of us without the knowledge. That is not the only thing. Years ago the lay person was informed that the money in our accounts are not really there, they are just numbers on the screen. Where is our money then? Well the banks we trust with our money are using it to make more, and now in most cases currently giving you nothing. Sort of like the city bankers, the people vote to take care of the economy. So, your money is there sitting doing nothing , while others who are using the money in better ways are making more. Wow, why not open a bank right? That is a good business!
Back a few years. I learned I needed to start making money consistently, so when I was spending, my money would not go down but would stay the same, at a bare minimum if not increase. Let me give you something to do, Look at your bank account for the last 12 months and see which way your balance went. Mine went upwards. How do you get to a place where your bank balance goes up consistently and not down?
I was a thinker for some time also. This is knowing you need and should invest but actually not doing it. You may think you are investing but you really are not. If I can give someone £100 and ask for £110 in a few weeks I have made some money. Some waste time calculating too much, the better you become, better investments will be made. Some may say £10 in a few weeks is not good enough. Tell me now, is £10 better than nothing? If you found £10 on the floor most would take it wouldn’t they? They would usually take it because the money is better than no money. This is investing for you. People criticize the investment before even becoming an investor and this is what stops millions. Some money is better than no money and is definitely better than minus monies.
For a long time I looked at my bank balances and saw nothing. No growth not even a penny. This made me sad several times. I had the investment mentality, well I thought I did but nothing was happening. I realised…I wasn’t investing. Investing actually means investing. You invest time, resources etc and you reap rewards. If I don’t hand out the £100 from the previous example, I do not make the £10, simple as…I have to let go, in order to receive something. Plain, clear and Simple.
The investor…They know they need to let go in order to take in. Genesis 26:12, Isaac sowed one year and reaped back 100 fold. Multiply his investment by 100. I read this on several different occasions, last night, it made sense in a different light. Most are blown away by the hundred fold. Read a tad bit slower. Isaac Sowed. He let go of, he invested. I’ve been doing this for some time now and currently still looking for new investments. Investing is what reaps rewards. If we down let go, we don’t provide an opportunity.
Is Sandy really over?
The New York storm what saved the president his job?
Sandy as its been called is well over now but the long lasting effects are far from Gone. Was the way President Obama handled this situation the reason he got four more years and not four more days? Was the fact an opposition politician thanked Barack Obama for the way in which he handled the situation? Was it down to job data which came out, which was much better than previous months showed? Was he just better! I don’t think he would ever admit it but Mr Romney was probably beaten from the beginning. It is much harder to become president, than it is to maintain your presidency.
It is interesting how world news covers a situation as it happens and then when ratings drop they move on. It does really make you think they are not really interested in the well being but the ratings. When the next big story lands, the competitive nature rears its head and reporters are shipped off to the next location. They spoke about Sandy for a few days and then it seemed the election became more important. Are we forgetting the thousands of people who lost homes and even more severely lost lives? The news shows politicians around, and then make it seem like a good job was done, what about after? Don’t they want to show the real aftermath due to the fact it may be shown that they are not really doing as much as we think?
This is something that will continue to happen in life, while consumers allow the governments they stand under to abuse them. People are abused every day and they are so used to it, they keep on struggling.
Whatever the reason, we have another four years of Barack Obama on the world stage.
