Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands.
Let us all make a joyful noise for the Lord and all his goodness. Let us celebrate the years to date he has given us. When we forget to give thanks to the Lord for the goodness we receive, it is easy to become complacent. Throughout the Bible, as well as much celebration, we have many people who desired greatly to worship God. Countless close calls and many who crossed the finish line in flying colours.
The book of Psalms in my view is a book of celebration. A celebration by many people who had the mind to testify of goodness from above. God does so much to help us in life, he does so much, we find ourselves talking about him often. To have something so good and to not share it is abnormal. When we just find something new, we can’t wait to tell people (calling friends and family soon). Let us remember that the noise we make for Christ, shouldn’t be ordinary, for he wasn’t neither was what he did for/to you.
Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing.
Why would we ever come to God less than happy with him? We may find ourselves venting to God about past issues but its ok, he knows!
Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.
We didn’t arrive here by ourselves, neither did we create ourselves. Everything we have, has been given to us one way or another. Let us acknowledge the fact God is all-powerful and has the ability to change us at ease. Whether we say we want to praise God for what he does in our lives, let us at least praise him for what he done before we even knew anything. We are the sheep of his pasture, he is the great shepherd.
Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.
I remind myself of the question wrote in of my books, if you willingly fight against God, doesn’t that mean he’s real? If you know he’s real why not worship?
For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.
Everyday should be celebrate day with God, for he is the King and the redeemer.
“Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.”
A few verses prior It is stated “Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.” to acknowledge God is the first step we must take. For those of us who are willing to trust God his gates are wide open. This is exactly what the scripture is saying. The Psalmist is saying, enter into the gates with thanksgiving, why? We should be tankful for the gate is open to us. We should enter the courts with praise. Moving closer to God brings excitement in my life., I know how much God can do for me where I am right now, and it makes me glad that if I am even closer to him, the benefits will be so much more.
When your walking out, or have locked yourself out, it is often misconceived that God has thrown you out. God stands at the door, waiting to entrust you with his name, blood and family. We may have turned our backs on the king but his eyes are still locked on us. It may be pride, fear, torment, whatever it is, nothing is bigger than God. Never feel scared, or ashamed to call on his name. the gate of heaven is open and accessible to all those who put their faith in him.
Reading recently in the Psalms, I came to the question, what do you know about your maker? The Psalms are a very exciting collection. Many noted by David, along with others who offered there devotion to God. In Psalms 104, I asked myself the question, there is so much God has done, but how much is spoken abroad. It was even funny to know that the next chapter then encourages the individual to noise abroad God’s plans, his wondrous works and his great person. Psalms is a very descriptive book and here we get into much of God’s characteristics. I questioned myself, to the level of relationship I really had with Jesus and his Father. Are we aware that God commanded water to go to a specific place and that he calls the rain to pour down on us? God provides streams for the animals to come to, grass continually grows for all cattle to have food. God made the trees for the birds to stay in, which is also needed by mankind, for the transfer of co2-o2. God has subjected the sun and moon to there prescribed times. A subjection that cannot be broken.
