Key to fasting #2

Fasting is for God alone

Many times in life I’ve been told to fast and not felt to in my heart and just gone through the motion, this isn’t  something we should dabble in. If your heart is not in a fast don’t waste your time, more importantly God is not pleased with it. You do not fast for people but fasting is for God, fasting is not more people’s smiles or for people to know that you’ve been fasting (its not a contest). In Matthew 6, as well as other things like prayer and alms, God shows us that fasting is an act for God and not for people. God even says that he would bless openly for our secret act. The early chapters in Matthew 6 highlight a personal relationship with I AM. Don’t let people tell you you can fast without fasting to God as such fasting is earthly. In Acts of the Apostles 23 we see how man bound themselves under a curse in order to kill Paul, it was accepted by those forty or so men that they placed a curse on themselves. These men must have subsequently died as they did not kill Paul. I close by saying Fast to God and no other.

Hi there! This is kind of off topic but I need some advice from an established blog. Is it very hard to set up your own blog? I’m not a very technical person but I can figure things out pretty quick. I’m thinking about setting up my own but I’m not sure where to start. Do you have any points or suggestions? Thank you

    • Firstly, the answer is no to your first question, to make a blog is just a decision. I don’t believe many people had problems starting there blog. My experience shows me that consistency is key, maintaining a level of consistency is what allows your blog to grow and develop. You can read a few posts of mine to get more understanding (Consistency is key, why should the work cease?). Many articles are encouraging readers to act.

I would suggest outlining your intentions for the blog from the beginning, this gives viewers an understanding of what you want to offer. You can then begin to outline why you want to, give information about yourself. From then it’s in your hands, you can set a certain amount of posts to do each week or each day (however you like). Build a relationship with your viewers and always try to better your blog.
